Arunachal Pradesh government is planning to provide crop loans at zero interest rates to farmers in the state under Mukhya Mantri Krishi Rinn Yojana or Chief Minister Krishi Rinn Yojana. The proposed zero interest crop loan scheme will help the farmer in taking format credits through banking channels easily.
Mukhya Mantri Krishi Rinn Yojana
The purpose of planning the scheme is to provide crop loans at zero interest rates to farmers in the state. Interest subvention of 4% on crop loans and kisan credit card with a limit of up to 3 lakh will be provided to the beneficiaries under Chief Minister Krishi Rinn Yojana.
It would be applicable on the crop loans sanctioned by all banks to all farmers in current financial year. The percentage of interest subvention given by state government would be over and above of the interest subvention given by the central govt. as per policy issued by RBI/NABARD.
Zero interest crop loan scheme would cover those farmers who make the timely payment of loans taken up to Rs 3 lakhs. And the farmers would also be able to get to 3% interest subvention under the scheme if he/she repay their short term crop loan within one year of disbursement.
NABARD will act as banking channel partner and reimbursed the subvention amount of crop loans to the banks.
Chief Minister Krishi Rinn Yojana would also cover the farmer availing the benefits of Kisan Credit Card or taking crop production loan from Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank, all commercial banks, Arunachal Pradesh State Cooperative Apex bank (APSCAB).
The arrangement of Kisan Credit Cards application form and crop loans application will be made by the banks itself. The format of application would be same as being used for KCC applications and short term crop loans.
The AP government has set a target of benefiting at least 7500 farmers under the scheme within the current financial year.
